Selection criteria

Included when the school has a laboratory forensic science degree whose science curriculum is documented and that meets at least four of six criteria (FEPAC accreditation counts but is not required).

  1. Science curriculum documented. Natural-science content, science prerequisites or a laboratory component is documented on an official page.
  2. FEPAC-accredited (where applicable). The program appears on FEPAC's own accredited-program list. Optional: not required for a selection.
  3. Structure published. Required credits and the program length are published on an official page.
  4. Practical component documented. An internship, practicum, capstone, thesis or laboratory component is documented.
  5. Tuition published with its basis. Tuition is published with its basis (per credit, term, year or program) and student category.
  6. Admission requirements published. At least one admission requirement or test policy is published for this program.

Universe: Dedicated laboratory forensic science degrees (forensic type: laboratory science) researched in this directory. Criminal justice degrees with a forensic concentration are not counted.

Limitations

  • The criteria measure how completely a program publishes checkable information. They do not measure teaching quality, outcomes or fit, and a program missing here may well be an excellent choice whose school publishes less.
  • The directory has not researched every institution. Absence from this page means "not verified to meet the criteria", not "does not meet them".
  • No scores, ratings, employment rates or salaries are used, and none are implied. Tuition is never ranked: bases, residency categories and years differ.
  • Missing information is treated as 'not met', never as a negative. A program missing here may meet the criteria but not publish the facts, or may not have been researched yet.

Sponsorship and selection are separate. Paying for a placement has no effect on whether a school or program appears here. Sponsored placements elsewhere on the site are labelled.
